To celebrate Back to Black, the mod now comes with a free Mp3 of "Eat You Up" compliments of the band Big Black Novel.

Now updated for Mac OSX 10.5 and above!

Works with iTunes for Mac version 9.0.1! Zip file now comes with special instructions for Leopard and Snow Leopard users to get it working!

I know how much everyone is missing the old dark background, so it's time to get it back to black. Very simple instructions follow to return to the dark grid view. New missing artwork image included to match the theme.

Instructions

1. Back up your original iTunes.rsrc (path: /applications/iTunes/Contents/Resources/iTunes.rsrc)
2. Back up your iTunes binary file (path: /applications/iTunes/Contents/MacOS/iTunes).
3.Back up your original English localized.rsrc (/applications/iTunes/Contents/Resource/English.lproj/)
4.Copy the new iTunes binary, iTunes.rsrc & Localized.rsrc files into the appropriate folders.

*Important*
Leopard users follow the READ ME instructions.

I was searching for about 20mins trying to find a way to do this on windows. And found that Apple finally came to their senses. Just go to Edit > Preferences and in the general tab there should be an option to select either light (ugly white) or dark (nice black). Done! Plus (no offence) its alot better than this one as it changes the header and the scrollbar too so it looks alot more complete. Nice work anyway lucien1.

I am having this problem when codesigning. Any ideas?

replacing existing signature
codesign_allocate: can't create output file: /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/MacOS/iTunes.cstemp (Permission denied)

Did I do something wrong when creating the certificate?

Sounds great Lucien! I had the hack for v 9.0 and that worked great on 10.5.8.

Does anyone know if the codesigning is still causing problems as per phantomhelix' and 'galolar' commented upon?

I would prefer to know before i go ahead with this hack if possible.
